Podcast Episode 35 – WKU Students Chalk the Gospel: A Creative Outreach
Christian students at Western Kentucky University undertook a unique outreach by chalking the Gospel of John across campus. This initiative aimed to visually share their faith and spark conversations among their peers. The students meticulously planned their efforts, using colorful chalk to inscribe scripture and inspirational messages in high-traffic areas. While receiving positive feedback and engaging the community, the project also raised some questions about religious expression on a public university campus. Social media played a significant role in amplifying their message and fostering wider dialogue. The students involved found the experience personally meaningful and plan to continue creative outreach endeavors in the future.
